The City of Highfill is currently seeking civic-minded residents to fill open positions on several boards and commissions. If you’re passionate about public service and want to make difference in your community, we encourage you to apply.

🌿 Highfill Parks Advisory Committee (HPAC)

Help enrich the recreational and cultural life of Highfill by serving on the HPAC!

Details:

🟢 Members: 5 voting members + 1 non-voting secretary
🟢 Term: 3 years (staggered terms)
🟢 Eligibility: Highfill resident and qualified elector
🟢 Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)
🟢 Expectations: Assist in organizing a minimum of 3 city events each year
🟢 Meetings: Held quarterly, open to the public

📝 City Recorder

A vital role in local government, now open for appointment until the next general election.
Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Attends and records meetings
✔️ Presides in Mayor’s absence
✔️ Supporting city operations and legal compliance
📍 Applicant must reside within Highfill city limits

💰 Compensation: $400/month ($4,800/year)

Responsibilities:

💰 Compensation: $49 per meeting (paid quarterly)

📍 Deadline to apply: Monday, August 4th
📍 Attend City Council: Tuesday, August 12th — All applicants are required to attend this meeting and briefly present their qualifications and interest in serving before appointments are made.
