Meeting Schedule

The City holds public meetings on a regular schedule. The City posts meeting dates, times, and agendas in advance.

The City may change, cancel, or add meetings as needed. When this happens, the City posts updates on its official website.

How Public Participation Works

The City follows the agenda for each meeting.

  • The City opens meetings to the public
  • The City may use a waiting room to manage entry
  • The City may mute participants to maintain order
  • The City welcomes public comments during designed public comment periods

Meeting Conduct and Expectations

The City of Highfill works to maintain orderly, respectful, and productive public meetings so that all participants have an opportunity to be heard.

All participants are expected to remain respectful during meetings. The City does not allow disruptive behavior, including name-calling, repeated interruptions, or conduct that interferes with the orderly progress of the meeting.

If disruptive behavior continues, the presiding official may remove an individual from the meeting in order to maintain order and allow the meeting to proceed.

Agendas and Meeting Documents

The City posts agendas and meeting documents before each meeting when available. The City generally posts these documents at least one week before the scheduled meeting.

Agendas and meeting materials are organized by meeting type. Please visit the appropriate page to view documents:

Each page includes agendas, packets, and related meeting documents for that board or commission.

Commitment to Transparency

The City of Highfill is committed to open government and transparent decision-making. We believe residents have the right to know how their local government operates and to access public meetings, records, and information in a clear and timely manner.

We provide open access to all public meetings, including City Council, Planning Commission, Parks Committee, and other official meetings. We publish meeting agendas and supporting documents in advance whenever possible and make participation available to the public through a single, consistent Zoom meeting link.

We communicate updates, changes, and important city information through our official website and other public notices to ensure residents stay informed.

The City of Highfill values accountability, encourages public participation, and works to ensure government actions remain accessible and understandable to everyone we serve.
