City Council Vacancy — Ward 3, Position 1

The City of Highfill is seeking qualified residents to fill an open seat on the Highfill City Council for Ward 3, Position 1.

The vacancy follows the resignation of a City Council member and will be filled by appointment by the City Council at the October 13, 2026, regular City Council meeting.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

• Be a resident of Ward 3
• Be a qualified elector (registered voter)
• Be willing to attend regular and special City Council meetings
• Have an interest in serving the Highfill community and participating in local government

City Council members serve as representatives of their ward while also participating in decisions that affect the City as a whole. Council responsibilities include considering ordinances and resolutions, approving budgets and expenditures, making policy and land-use decisions, and representing residents in City government.
