Special City Council Meeting Recap
The Highfill City Council held a Special Meeting on November 3, 2025, to address routine city business and provide community updates ahead of the upcoming holidays.
Meeting Highlights:
- Approval of Minutes: Council approved the October 14, 2025, meeting minutes.
- Public Comment: Local residents spoke about development near the City Park and inquired about sewer and septic options. City staff and planning officials will follow up to provide guidance.
- City Updates:
- Speed & Safety Concerns: Council discussed neighborhood speeding issues and confirmed that Highfill PD is reviewing potential speed limit adjustments.
- Sidewalk Grant: Highfill received a $500,000 grant from ARDOT for new sidewalks along Mason Valley in the Silver Meadows area. Work is anticipated to begin by mid-2026 after design and procurement phases are complete. [click here to view the approval letter]

- City Hall Closed – Tuesday, November 11 (Veterans Day)
- Fall Festival – Saturday, November 15 | 10 AM – 1 PM | City Park

- City Hall Closed for Thanksgiving – Thursday and Friday, November 27–28
- Christmas in the Park – Friday, December 5 | 5:30 PM | City Park
- Next Regular City Council Meeting – Tuesday, December 9 | 6:30 PM
- Approval of Financials: Council approved of the October 2025 financials.
Council concluded the meeting and then moved into an informal budget workshop to continue planning for the year ahead.
