The holidays are here, and Highfill is buzzing with community spirit! From city meetings to festive family events, there are plenty of ways to get involved this month. Come be part of the moments that make Highfill home.
🎄 City Meetings
All meetings are held in the Highfill City Council Chambers.
- City Council Meeting – Tuesday, December 9 at 6:30 PM
- Planning Commission Meeting – Tuesday, December 23 at 6:00 PM
Your involvement helps guide the choices that keep Highfill strong, growing, and connected. Let’s build our future together.
🎁 Holiday Hours & Closures
City offices will:
- Close early on Friday, December 5 at 11:00 AM
- Be closed for Christmas on December 24–25
- Be closed for New Year’s Day on January 1
Please plan ahead—and enjoy the extra time with family and friends!
🗑️ Holiday Trash Pickup Schedule
Christmas Week:
- Thursday routes → Friday, December 26
- Friday routes → Saturday, December 27
New Year’s Week:
- Wednesday routes → No change
- Thursday routes → Friday, January 2

Highfill City Park
Get ready for a festive night packed with cheer—and a couple of very special visitors!
✨ Both Santa and the Grinch will be joining us for photos, fun, and holiday mischief.
This free community event will also feature:
- Downtown Dawgs serving hot dogs and warm hot cocoa provided by Black Howler Beer Company
- Storyteller Photography capturing magical holiday photos
- Music, lights, and plenty of cheer for all ages
