The City of Highfill Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Highfill City Hall, Council Chambers, 2560 W. Highway 12, Highfill, Arkansas 72734. The Commission invites all residents to attend and share feedback on proposed updates to the City’s planning, zoning, and sign regulations.
What Will Be Discussed
Planning Regulations – Title 13 The Commission will review comprehensive updates to Title 13, which governs planning activities in Highfill. These updates include revisions, additions, deletions, and the reorganization of provisions related to planning studies, comprehensive planning, procedures, and Planning Commission responsibilities.
Zoning Regulations – Title 14 Proposed amendments to Title 14 include updates to zoning districts, permitted and conditional uses, development standards, enforcement procedures, wireless communications facilities, mobile homes, and other land-use regulations. These revisions aim to support orderly development and ensure clarity within the Municipal Code.
Proposed Sign Ordinance Residents will also have the opportunity to comment on a new Sign Ordinance regulating the design, placement, quality, and maintenance of signs visible to the public. This ordinance includes provisions for enforcement and seeks to improve community aesthetics and safety.
How to Participate All interested residents are encouraged to participate in the public hearing. Attendees will have an opportunity to speak and provide input before the Planning Commission considers whether to recommend the proposed amendments and ordinance to the City Council, either as presented or with modifications.
