Welcome to Highfill
Highfill, Arkansas, is a thriving community in the heart of Benton County. Proud of its history, small-town values, and bright future, Highfill has transformed from apple orchards and a railway stop into one of Arkansas’s fastest-growing towns—while maintaining the small-town spirit that makes it special.
Our Story
Highfill traces its roots to pioneering families such as the Highfills, Woodwards, and Gordens, whose apple orchards and hard work shaped the community. Early railroad development helped the town grow, and Highfill was officially platted in 1906. The nearby settlement of Hoover existed prior to this, with its own post office from May 5, 1887, to December 31, 1905.
Hezekiah Highfill, a Civil War veteran and orchard owner, laid the groundwork for the town that bears his name. The original Highfill school, built in 1911, now serves as the community building.
