🌱 Foresting the Future Tree Giveaway Coming to Highfill

The City of Highfill is excited to announce our upcoming Foresting the Future Tree Giveaway, helping residents plant trees, beautify their neighborhoods, and support a greener community.
Thanks to our partnership with Foresting the Future and the Arkansas Department of Agriculture – Forestry Division, residents will have the opportunity to receive free trees to plant at their homes.
Event Details
📅 Date: Thursday, April 2, 2026
⏰ Time: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (or while supplies last)
📍 Location: Highfill City Park
180 NW Main St, Highfill, AR 72761
Eligibility
This program is available to Highfill utility customers and/or residents.
Each household may receive up to two trees per utility bill while supplies last.
Please bring a copy of your current utility bill (water, sewer, or trash service) for verification at the event.
How the Giveaway Works
- Arrive at Highfill City Park during event hours.
- Present your current Highfill utility bill for verification.
- Select up to two trees from the available species.
- City staff, volunteers, and forestry experts will be available to assist and answer questions.
2026 Tree Selection
Residents will be able to choose from a variety of beautiful and beneficial native trees, including:
- Redbud
- Yellowwood
- White Flowering Dogwood
- Tulip Tree (Tulip Poplar)
- Blackgum
- Scarlet Oak
- Baldcypress
These species were selected for their beauty, shade, wildlife benefits, and adaptability to Arkansas landscapes.

Trees are available first come, first served, so residents are encouraged to arrive early.
