The City Council has canceled the regular meeting scheduled for June 9, 2026, due to a lack of quorum. The Council has set a Special City Council Meeting for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Highfill City Council Chambers.
During the June 16 meeting, the Council will consider several important community and administrative items. These items include:
- A rezoning request for the property at 674 NW Highfill Street, proposed to change from Rural Residential (RR) to General Commercial (C‑2).
- Dedication of city‑owned property for future public park and community use.
- Adoption of Highfill Police Department Policies and Procedures.
- Confirmation of appointments to the Highfill Water and Sewer Committee.
- Review of the May 2026 financial reports and departmental updates.
The City continues to seek one additional member for the Highfill Water and Sewer Committee. Residents who want to contribute to their community are encouraged to apply.
